 Networking Tips
Keep In Touch
Good networkers always remember to keep in touch! Regular follow up calls with your clients, networking partners and friends are critical to maintain your network at peak health. Make time to call someone at least once per day - just to say "Hi" - as it will strengthen your relationship with that contact. Sometimes your call will happen at the just the right time to provide support or advice when they're having a bad day.

 General Policies & Procedures

Membership is limited to one person per industry, per chapter.  Only the member's core business can be promoted to the group.  Members must represent their primary business activity.  Not a part-time business.

Members are permitted to send a substitute to the meeting in their place if they are not able to attend.  All members are allowed two absences per quarter (with prior apology).  More than the permitted amount of absences will be subject to termination of membership.

A company/organisation may hold membership in more than one BRG group provided that within each group there is different representation.

There is an annual membership fee payable to The Business Referral Group at/prior to the prospective member's second meeting.  BRG will invoice the member upon successful application.

Renewal of membership is subject to assessment.  This assessment is based upon attendance, referrals, and attitude.

Members may transfer to another BRG chapter provided that there is no industry conflict.  BRG must approve transfer in writing.

Members are required to pass referrals and/or assist in the growth of their chapter through inviting suitable guests.

Except for medical reasons there are no leaves of absence.  A member may take up to eight weeks medical leave without the chapter's prior approval.
